GCSE 2021

Congratulations to our 2021 Year 11 cohort on their fantastic set of GCSE results. Students have been unbelievable in the way that they have handled their studies and exams through the pandemic.  They have shown resilience and determination and worked incredibly hard to make sure that they are personally ready for the next stage of their education. We are very proud of them all and the results reflect their hard work and dedication and that of their highly skilled teachers and all other staff who have worked with integrity and professionalism to ensure that the Teacher Assessed Grades were reliable and valid. As always, there were some exceptional individual performances with four students achieving grade 9s in all of their subjects! Nine students achieved a remarkable grade 9 in both English and maths. With regard to the EBacc suite of qualifications, 129 students achieved a grade 5 in English, maths, science,…

Anti-Bullying Week

During Anti-Bullying Week, students were involved in a number of competitions to promote Anti-Bullying at Rushey Mead. This is really important to all of us at school, and links to our core value of Rushey 1 – Be Kind, a simple but clear message to all that bullying will not be tolerated at our school. There were some exceptional entries by students from all year groups, but after much deliberation our winner was Vanita 10MEM.  Vanita produced and sang about Anti-Bullying; it was amazing! Well done Vanita! She chose the prize of a £10 Amazon voucher.
