Duke of Edinburgh Expedition 2019

In September, 60 Year 10 students completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition, spending two days exploring the Leicestershire countryside and doing their bit to help the environment.
The teams hiked across the Bradgate park area, picking up litter and making their way along the walking routes they had planned in the previous weeks. The students were an absolute credit to Rushey Mead. They demonstrated their excellent organisational and team-working skills as they set up camp, cooked their evening meals, and set their alarms for a very early start. Well done to everyone who took part!
