Rushey Mead is graded ‘outstanding’ yet again!

We are over the moon to share the news that our academy has once again been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Inspectors visited the school on 8th and 9th March and grilled students and staff on the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Rightly so, the inspectors left no stone unturned and challenged us at every opportunity. At the end, they were absolutely blown away by the evidence presented to them.  All areas received an outstanding judgement. This is even more of an accomplishment considering the inspection was carried out under the new and more challenging framework and that Ofsted has downgraded the majority of ‘outstanding’ schools nationally in the first round of an inspection shake-up. GCSE Results 2019

Congratulations to our 2019 Year 11 cohort on their fantastic set of GCSE results. We are very proud of them all and the results reflect their hard work and dedication and that of their highly skilled and committed teachers and all other staff. As always, there were some exceptional individual performances with one student achieving grade 9s in all of her subjects! Eight students achieved a remarkable grade 9 in both English and maths. Three students achieved grade 9s in the EBACC suite of subjects (English, maths, science, humanities and languages)! With regard to the EBACC qualification, 133 students (41.7%) achieved a grade 5 in all five subjects and 54.5% of students achieved a standard pass in this suite of subjects; both of which are our best ever results.
